- Elves have lunarvision. They can see better at night under the moonlight. Under the full moon they see as clear and far as a human in a clear day. They can't benefit of this under a new moon, though. Things the moonlight doesn't hit are as obscure as for other people.
- Dwarves have tunnelvision. They are magically capable of seeing in the dark as long as they are in a tight space surrounded by rock or earth, though they don't need to be underground. This means they are particularly good dungeon- and tomb-delvers. They see normally in very open spaces. That's why big dwarven halls still need sources of light. Having proper sources of light around them negates this effect, as their senses get overwhelmed.
- Halflings have torchvision. Their eyes are faintly bioluminescent, and they can see in the dark as if they were holding a torch at all times. However, this means others can see their eyes in the dark as well if paying attention.
