This hobby of ours is filled with silly acronyms that sound made up by a dude with a twitter profile pic of a marble statue of some roman or greek geek, who has played too many hours of Paradox 4x games (coincidentally too few of them outside Europe). You know the type.

But in reality, names, acronyms and manifestos do not really matter. What matters is having fun.

The Free Kriegsspiel Revolution is not about wargaming in Prussia. It's not even about inhabiting the fictional world and interacting with it. It's about having fun at the table with your friends.

The Old School Rwho-Cares-Shaggy is not about praising the virtues of a bunch of teenagers smoking weed in a basement listening to prog rock and playing OD&D in the 80's as masters of a nascent form of folk art. It's about having fun at the table with your friends.

If you are, stop worrying too much about how your style of play fits with others'. We're all silly people dancing in the dark, just like you.

Burn all manifestos. Run the games you love. Do prep that inspire you. Steal anything and everything. Follow your nose.
